Tordenskjold

I build native, open-source apps for Sailfish OS, the independent Linux-based mobile operating system from Jolla. My goal: apps that feel at home on the phone, keep your data under your control, and are good enough for the official Jolla Store. I write about the work at tordenskjold.de.

My apps

• SailVault: a password manager for KeePass-compatible (KDBX 4) files. Sync runs through your own Nextcloud, and KeePassXC on your PC opens the same file.
• SailToken: an authenticator for two-factor (TOTP) codes. Your accounts live in their own encrypted KeePass-compatible file, separate from your passwords. Add an account by scanning its QR code.

Both apps are free and MIT-licensed. They have no ads, no tracking and no accounts. Both have been submitted to the Jolla Store and are waiting for its review.

• The server for tordenskjold.de, a rented virtual machine at netcup that hosts the project pages and the devlog
• Time to keep the apps working with every Sailfish OS release and to fix bugs quickly
• Security reviews and test hardware
• Features users ask for, such as importing 2FA accounts from other authenticator apps
• New native apps for self-hosted services

Transparency

All code is public on GitHub. I develop with the help of Claude Code, an AI coding agent, and review every change before it is committed. Details are in the "AI disclosure" section of each README.
